Josef Fares Unveils Split Fiction Secrets in Interview

Josef Fares, the visionary head of Hazelight Studios, recently shed light on the eagerly anticipated game, Split Fiction, during an insightful interview with MinnMax. Fares reaffirmed Hazelight's steadfast dedication to crafting immersive gaming experiences without succumbing to the allure of live-service models or microtransactions. He was emphatic about maintaining the studio's independence, stating firmly:

"We're not going public. No microtransactions. We focus solely on delivering great gaming experiences."

Delving into the details of Split Fiction, Fares revealed that the game's core narrative will captivate players for approximately 12-14 hours, a duration that mirrors the beloved It Takes Two. For those who wish to delve deeper, optional missions and additional content will extend the gameplay experience up to 16-17 hours.

While Hazelight has made its mark with cooperative titles, Fares hinted at a potential shift towards exploring single-player games in the future. He also disclosed that Split Fiction's development budget is double that of It Takes Two. Despite this, the studio remains committed to providing a complete experience at launch, with no plans for post-launch DLC. All features will be accessible from day one, ensuring players receive the full Split Fiction experience without additional costs.

Split Fiction is set to launch globally on March 6th, available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, promising to deliver another unforgettable gaming journey from Hazelight Studios.
