Author : Victoria Update : May 01,2025

Blizzard has unveiled exciting new details about the upcoming in-game housing system in *World of Warcraft: Midnight*. Although the expansion is slated for release after *The War Within* as part of the Worldsoul saga, early previews have sparked considerable excitement among players due to the promised extensive customization options.

A developer blog recently showcased in-game videos demonstrating the furniture placement mechanics. The system uses a grid layout with automatic snapping, allowing players to effortlessly arrange their furniture. Moreover, you can adorn larger pieces such as shelves or tables with smaller accessories that remain fixed even when the larger item is repositioned.

The housing system offers two distinct modes: a Basic Mode for easy and straightforward organization, and an Advanced Mode for those who crave more creative freedom. In Advanced Mode, players have the ability to rotate items on all three axes and stack them in innovative ways, facilitating the creation of intricate and visually impressive interiors.

Another standout feature is the option to scale objects, which caters to the diverse sizes of characters. This means gnomes can craft snug, cozy spaces, whereas larger races like tauren can design more expansive interiors. Additionally, some new furniture pieces designed specifically for the housing system will allow for recoloring, though this feature may not extend to legacy items.

With *Midnight* still months from release, Blizzard is keeping the community engaged by regularly teasing upcoming features, thereby maintaining high levels of excitement and anticipation for future updates.
