InZOI Director Confirms Community's Wishlisted Features
This week, the developers of InZOI are taking a well-deserved break to celebrate the New Year, enjoying a three-day holiday in South Korea. Before stepping away, Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim, the project lead, took the opportunity to update fans on the much-anticipated features they've been requesting for the game, detailing which ones will be implemented and to what extent.

In InZOI, players will be thrilled to know they can utilize real facial capture technology to create templates for crafting their zois. This feature, already highlighted in summer announcements for its convenience, is set to become even more streamlined, as Kjun emphasized the goal of simplifying the zoi creation process. Additionally, the game will allow players to have their own pets, though this feature won't be available during early access. Fans will need to wait a bit longer for this addition, which is particularly exciting as Kjun himself is a known animal enthusiast.
The game's environment will include tall buildings, with a cap set at 30 floors. While the game engine theoretically supports higher constructions, this limitation is in place to address potential performance issues, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience. In terms of in-game interactions, players can look forward to gas stations and engaging in fights. Kjun noted that the initial slap mechanic from early previews was felt to be too shallow by players. Responding to this feedback, the game will now feature full-fledged fights, complete with winners and losers, adding depth to the gameplay.
To cater to newcomers unfamiliar with the genre, InZOI will include a comprehensive tutorial. This thoughtful addition reflects the developers' commitment to making the game accessible to a broad audience. As of now, Krafton is on track to release InZOI in early access at the end of March, with no further delays currently anticipated.
