Lost Soul Aside Delayed 3 Months for Polish on PS5 and PC

The highly anticipated single-player action game Lost Soul Aside has been delayed by three months, moving its release date from May 30 to August 29, 2025, as announced by its developer, Ultizero Games. Originally slated for launch next month after nearly a decade in development, the game is now set to release in late August to ensure additional polish and meet the high standards set by the studio.

"We are truly grateful for the positive response we've received from players all over the world since we announced Lost Soul Aside," Ultizero Games stated. "We remain committed to delivering a high-quality game experience. To match the standards Ultizero Games have set for ourselves, we are going to take some additional time to polish the game. Lost Soul Aside will now release on August 29, 2025. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to our fans waiting for the launch."

Originally a passion project of solo developer Yang Bing, Lost Soul Aside has evolved into a major Sony-published title under the company's China Hero Project. Bing, now the founder and CEO of the Shanghai-based studio Ultizero Games, has seen his vision grow from a solo endeavor to a much-anticipated game. IGN recently had the chance to discuss the long road to launch with Yang Bing, highlighting the journey from a viral reveal video in 2016 to a featured spot in Sony's State of Play broadcast. The excitement around Lost Soul Aside has been fueled by its unique blend of Final Fantasy-inspired characters and Devil May Cry-style combat.

The game's protagonist, Kesar, wields a versatile shape-shifting weapon that allows players to switch playstyles seamlessly. Accompanied by a dragon-like companion named Arena, who can summon supportive abilities, Kesar embarks on a journey of "redemption and discovery" across multiple dimensions. Lost Soul Aside promises a rich experience with aerial dodging, precision timing, combos, and countering, all set against the backdrop of large-scale boss fights and a sci-fi narrative that blends contemporary aesthetics.
