Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon Sequel Unveiled

FDG Entertainment and Cornfox & Bros. have revealed their next title, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon. Set two centuries after the events of Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, this new entry takes the series in a fresh direction. It is scheduled to release on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam in the second quarter of 2025.

What is the Story of Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon?

This adventure moves from open seas to the perilous depths of a vast underground labyrinth. Players will experience a classic dungeon crawler with a distinct retro aesthetic.

The world of Gaia lies in ruins. The mighty Arcadian Empire has fractured into scattered islands, and the fabled White City is now only a legend.

Undeterred by this bleak fate, a band of four heroes ventures into the Chronos Dungeon. This enigmatic underground fortress is said to contain the Paradigm Hourglass.

The Paradigm Hourglass is a legendary artifact with the power to reshape history. By surviving the dungeon's terrors, the heroes may have a chance to restore the world.

The developers have released an announcement trailer for Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon, which you can watch below.

What Are the Game's Key Features?

Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon delivers a traditional dungeon-crawling experience with a strong 16-bit arcade feel. It supports local cooperative play for up to four players.

If playing solo, you can command the entire party of four heroes or switch between them dynamically. The game is designed with significant replayability in mind.

Each hero's base stats are randomized at the start, influenced by their zodiac sign, ensuring that every playthrough feels unique. The four playable characters are the Knight, the Huntress, the Grandmaster, and the Mage.

Beyond its nostalgic 16-bit pixel art style, the game features a chiptune-inspired soundtrack and incorporates numerous classic arcade mechanics.

The Steam page is now live, where you can find further information about FDG's new game, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon.
