The Tingklik is a traditional Balinese instrument crafted from bamboo blades, which are played by striking them with a mallet known as a "panggul tingklik." This gamelan ensemble typically includes two types of Tingklik: the Tingklik Polos and the Tingklik Sangsih. A standard Tingklik features between eleven and twenty-five bamboo blades, with the exact number varying based on the musical scale employed. It is played using both hands—the right hand typically handles the kotekan (melody), while the left hand provides the rhythm. Occasionally, the right hand may play the Sangsih part and the left hand the Polos part.
