Ironheart Soars Into Action in First MCU Disney+ Series Trailer

Marvel just dropped the first look at Ironheart, the hotly anticipated MCU series coming to Disney+. Dominique Thorne returns as the armored heroine after her breakout in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, with Anthony Ramos playing the morally ambiguous Parker Robbins/The Hood. The action-packed trailer shows Riri Williams stepping out of supporting character territory to claim her place as a full-fledged Marvel superhero.

Parker Robbins initially presents himself as Riri's unlikely mentor, but something sinister lurks beneath his helpful facade. Executive produced by Ryan Coogler, the series will debut with three back-to-back episodes on June 24 at 6pm PT/9pm ET exclusively on Disney+.

From MIT Outcast to Armored Avenger

The trailer reveals Riri humorously referring to her Wakanda adventures as an "internship abroad." After getting expelled from MIT, she encounters Parker Robbins, whose questionable proposition - "anyone who's accomplished anything had to do questionable things" - suggests this won't be your typical superhero origin story.

We get thrilling glimpses of Riri's armored suit in action, including an epic moment where she anchors herself before sending a truck flying overhead. These scenes promise the kind of spectacular action Marvel fans expect, but with a fresh, youthful energy.

Marvel's Upcoming Disney+ Slate

The Black Panther universe expands further with Eyes of Wakanda, a four-episode animated series premiering August 6 about Wakanda's elite Hatut Zeraze warriors. The fall brings the highly anticipated Marvel Zombies on October 3 - a continuation of the terrifying What If...? universe featuring returning cast like Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch and Simu Liu's Shang-Chi.

Looking ahead to 2025, Wonder Man brings Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, with Ben Kingsley reprising his fan-favorite Trevor Slattery role. This adaptation of the classic comics storyline promises to blend Hollywood satire with superhero action when it premieres in December.
