Witcher 3 Gameplay Concerns Raised By CDPR
The Witcher 3, while critically acclaimed, wasn't without its flaws. Many fans felt the combat system fell short.
In a recent interview, The Witcher 4's game director, Sebastian Kalemba, acknowledged weaknesses in the previous game's gameplay. He specifically highlighted the need for significant improvements to both the overall gameplay and the monster hunting experience. His exact words were: "We want to improve the gameplay and the monster hunting experience."
Kalemba emphasized that the upcoming Witcher 4 trailer should showcase the impactful and powerful nature of monster fights, focusing on enhanced choreography and emotional intensity.
A substantial combat revamp is anticipated for The Witcher 4. Reassuringly, CD Projekt Red (CDPR) is acutely aware of the areas needing improvement, lessons learned that will likely shape future Witcher titles, especially considering Ciri's role as the protagonist in the new trilogy.
Interestingly, the developers also intend to feature Triss's wedding. In Witcher 3, the "Ashen Marriage" quest was originally planned for Novigrad. The storyline depicts Triss's affection for Castello and her desire for a swift marriage. Geralt's role in this narrative involves assisting with wedding preparations, tasks such as clearing canal monsters, acquiring alcohol, and choosing a wedding gift.
