Exclusive Preview at ACMI's Game Worlds Exhibition

The long-awaited Hollow Knight: Silksong will finally offer hands-on gameplay at Melbourne's ACMI museum. This new build promises significant improvements over the 2019 E3 demo, which primarily served as a proof of concept.
From September 18, 2025 to February 8, 2026, ACMI's Game Worlds exhibit will feature Silksong alongside gaming titans like World of Warcraft and The Sims. Visitors can explore exclusive builds showcasing original concept art, production materials, and curated gameplay experiences.
ACMI curators Bethan Johnson and Jini Maxwell told IGN: "As one of gaming's most anticipated indie sequels since its 2019 reveal, we're proud to highlight this South Australian-developed masterpiece as Game Worlds' centerpiece exhibit."

Following years of limited updates since its announcement, ACMI's exhibition will finally provide substantial insights into Silksong's development. Fans worldwide eagerly await this unprecedented behind-the-scenes access.
The curators explained: "Our displays explore Silksong's artistic vision through Hornet's animated sprites, boss battle mechanics, and live gameplay demonstrations - offering unprecedented access to Team Cherry's creative process."

While the exhibition could hint at Silksong's release timing, developers haven't confirmed exact launch dates beyond its 2025 window announced during Nintendo's Switch 2 Direct. With the exhibit running through February 2026, hopeful players speculate about potential release dates.
Hollow Knight: Silksong launches for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch/Switch 2, and PC platforms. Stay informed with our latest coverage updates below.
