Schedule I Dev Tyler Releases 'First Proper Update,' v0.3.4 Available to Test Now
Drug Dealer Simulator Schedule I continues to ride the wave of its phenomenal success on Steam, securing its place as one of the platform's most-played games. The game's developer, Tyler, has just released the first significant post-launch update, version 0.3.4, which is currently available for testing on the beta branch. According to Tyler's announcement on the game's Steam page, the update will remain in the beta phase for a couple of days before its full release. Players interested in trying out the new features can opt into the beta branch immediately.
Tyler noted that while the beta version does not include all the features slated for the full release, it was crucial to roll out the beta quickly to allow players to test the new wall-mounted objects and the pawn shop interface. "I'll be adding a few more decorative objects tomorrow [April 8]," Tyler added, ensuring that the game continues to evolve with player feedback.
Here are the detailed patch notes for Schedule I version 0.3.4:
Additions:
- Added Bleuballs Boutique interior and functionality.
- Added Pawn Shop interior and functionality. Players can now sell nearly anything (excluding product) to Mick at the pawn shop.
- Added various decorative items including wooden and metal signs, wall-mounted shelves, safes, antique and modern wall lamps, and a grandfather clock.
- Introduced new locations such as Ol' Man Jimmy's.
- Added new luxury items like Château La Peepee, Brut du Gloop, silver and gold watches, chains, and gold bars.
Tweaks/Improvements:
- Enhanced customer recommendation dialogue for better clarity.
- Implemented additional null and validity checks to improve game stability.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where the delivery destination dropdown was overflowing outside the phone screen.
- Corrected a glitch where player lists were not clearing properly upon exiting to the menu.
- Resolved a problem where non-host clients were not receiving 'on day pass' and 'on week pass' events.
Since its launch, Schedule I has topped the sales charts on Steam, outpacing major titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals, thanks to its viral spread across social media, Twitch, and YouTube. The game allows players to ascend from a small-time drug dealer to a kingpin, managing drug production and distribution in the gritty city of Hyland Point. Players can expand their operations by acquiring properties, businesses, and hiring employees.
Developed and published by the Australian indie developer TVGS, aka Tyler, the explosive launch of Schedule I has been described as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." Tyler expressed his surprise and gratitude on Reddit, stating, "I never expected this kind of response! At the moment I’m just trying to stay focused and get patches out ASAP. Also looking forward to getting started on content updates as soon as all major bugs are patched."
