"We Are Muesli Launches 'In Their Shoes' Mobile Narrative Game"

Indie studio We Are Muesli has recently unveiled their upcoming narrative game, In Their Shoes, set to launch in 2026 across both mobile and PC platforms. Already generating buzz, the game has earned a nomination for independent and arthouse accolades at 'A MAZE. 2025' in Berlin.

In Their Shoes: A Deep Dive Into Life Through Storytelling

Set against the vibrant backdrop of present-day Milan—a city brimming with contrasts—In Their Shoes invites players to step into the shoes of seven distinct characters. Featuring 49 short, interactive vignettes known as "Moments," the game offers a poignant glimpse into the daily lives of its diverse cast. Each Moment unfolds at its own pace, allowing players to immerse themselves in the hesitations, routines, and quick decisions of the characters.

While traditional narrative games often follow a linear path, In Their Shoes takes a unique approach. Its story isn’t neatly tied up; instead, players must piece together fragmented tales to reveal 26 hidden biographical details for each character. This slice-of-life experience immerses players in the raw essence of everyday life.
