Capcom recently dazzled fans with a Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase, revealing exciting updates and content for the latest installment in their renowned series. Title Update 1, set to launch on April 4, 2025, will be a free update available to all Monster Hunter Wilds owners. Alongside this major update, a variety of both free and paid DLC will be introduced, enhancing the game with new hubs, armor, cosmetics, and formidable new monsters.

A New Hub For Hunters
The showcase kicked off with an introduction to the Grand Hub, a new endgame hub designed for hunting parties. Located in Suja, the Peaks of Accord, the Grand Hub can be unlocked once you reach Hunter Rank 16 by speaking with Tetsuzan. This expansive hub offers numerous activities for hunters to enjoy, from feasting together and arm wrestling to enjoying the Diva's nightly performances. Additionally, the Barrel Bowling mini-game allows players to earn vouchers through various in-game activities, adding an extra layer of fun and rewards.
Mizutsune Arrives
A highlight of Title Update 1 is the introduction of Mizutsune, the enchanting monster known for its swift tail strikes and water jets. Hunters at HR 21 or above can encounter Mizutsune in the Scarlet Forest by speaking with Kanya, who will provide the necessary quest. The hunt promises new gear for those brave enough to take on this challenge.
Additional Hunts on the Way
The update will also feature a new Event Quest introducing Arch-tempered Rey Dau, an even more challenging version of the Tempered fight. Hunters at HR 50 or above can take on this formidable foe in the hopes of crafting new armor. Similarly, the update allows for repeated encounters with Zoh Shia, once a one-time story fight, now available through new quests at HR 50, with new armor to be crafted from the spoils.
Arena Quests
Speedrunners will find their niche with the introduction of Arena Quests, where they can compete for the fastest clear times. Both Challenge and Free Challenge Quests will be available, with pendants awarded for participation and achievements. These can be accessed through a dedicated counter within the Grand Hub.
Change Alma's Outfit
Alma, the dedicated handler, is getting a stylish upgrade with the ability to change her attire through an in-camp appearance menu. One new outfit will be available for free, and additional styles can be unlocked by completing specific side missions, including the option to swap out Alma's glasses.
More DLC on the Way
In addition to Title Update 1, a range of free and paid DLC will enhance the game. Classic gestures from previous Monster Hunter titles will be freely available in the store, while the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1, part of the Cosmetic DLC Pass or Premium Deluxe Edition, offers additional cosmetic options. New stickers and looks for Alma are also on the horizon.
More Event Quests and Seasonal Events
The game will see an influx of new Event Quests and Seasonal Events, with the Grand Hub transforming to fit the theme of each event. The Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, starting on April 23, will bring cherry blossoms and new decor to the game. Capcom has assured that most previous events and quests will return, offering players a chance to experience or revisit these special moments.
The Roadmap Ahead
Title Update 1 is scheduled for April 3 for U.S. players, followed by the Blossomdance event on April 22. The challenging Arch-tempered Rey Dau will arrive on April 29, and by the end of May, other features and a Capcom collaboration will be introduced.
Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2
The showcase concluded with a glimpse of Title Update 2, set to release this summer. Although no specific date was provided, a teaser image hinted at the possible return of Lagiacrus, the underwater leviathan, promising more thrilling encounters on the surface.
