LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship and New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth

LEGO has unveiled an exciting lineup of nine new Star Wars sets, all set to hit the shelves on May 1, 2025. These releases are part of Disney's comprehensive celebration of May the 4th, known as Star Wars Day, which LEGO traditionally marks with the launch of a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In 2023, fans were treated to Luke's X-Wing Starfighter, followed by the TIE Interceptor in 2024.

This year, LEGO enthusiasts can look forward to Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously recognized by veteran Star Wars fans as Slave I. Due to a name change initiated by Disney in 2021, and confirmed by LEGO, the ship is now referred to as Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, reflecting Disney's desire to distance the brand from any 'slave' connotations. The new name appears to be permanent.

The last major version of this LEGO starship was released in 2019, celebrating the 20th anniversary with 1007 pieces, showcasing the ship as seen in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new 2025 version, with an impressive 2970 pieces, reflects the ship's appearance in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. It boasts nearly three times the number of pieces of its predecessor, measuring 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
