InZOI will feature ghosts, an afterlife, and a karma system

InZOI's Game Director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has revealed intriguing details about the game's paranormal elements. Players will gain limited control over ghosts, a mechanic linked to a karma system that tracks character actions and influences their lives, even after death.

Good deeds ensure a peaceful transition to the afterlife, while negative actions may condemn players to a ghostly existence among the living. To escape this spectral state, ghosts must atone for their past karmic shortcomings.

While ghost control is planned for a future update (currently unavailable in early access), the developer assures players that InZOI's core focus remains on realistic gameplay, with paranormal elements playing a supporting role. However, the possibility of additional unexplained phenomena being introduced down the line remains open.
