In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the side quest “A Good Scrub” sets you on a path through various bathhouse-related tasks, culminating in the search for an item infested with fleas for Betty. Here’s a detailed guide on how to navigate these quests and successfully find the flea-ridden item.
Pick Up ‘A Good Scrub’
Your journey begins by speaking with the innkeeper in Kuttenberg about work, leading you to Betty at her bathhouse in the southeast part of the city. Upon expressing your interest in work, Betty entrusts you with the task of heading to Grund to fetch Matsek. Matsek is hesitant to be seen with the girls destined for the bathhouse, so you'll need to approach them in the courtyard. There, you'll find three girls at a table. Inform them that you're there on Betty's behalf and escort them back to Kuttenberg.
Promote the Bathhouse
Upon returning with the girls, Betty tasks you with promoting the bathhouse to attract customers. Collaborate with her to craft the perfect pitch, then vocally advertise at the grain market, horse market, vintners’ street, and merchants’ street during daylight hours to ensure maximum exposure.
Clean Up the Bathhouse and Finish ‘A Good Scrub’
After the promotional efforts, you must swiftly clean the bathhouse before the alderman's inspection. Failure to do so promptly results in the bathhouse's closure, preventing you from picking up the subsequent quest, “Ill Repute,” from Betty.
Finding Fleas for ‘Ill Repute’ in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Once the bathhouse passes inspection, discuss ongoing issues with Betty. She reveals that the city council is deciding on the primary bathhouse, and to sway this decision, you need to make the councillor abandon the competing bathhouse. Start by gathering information on his dislikes from Meaty Mary, Katcha, and Little Lida.
To sabotage the competing bathhouse, you'll need Chamomile Brew to spike the wine cask on the second floor. Lida will only disclose the councillor's preference for fragrant oils after receiving a noblewomen’s dress from a tailor. Alternatively, you can lockpick a cabinet on the third floor and steal the oils.
Katcha mentions the bathhouse's past flea problem, directing you to find a flea-infested item. Head to the east gate of Kuttenberg City where you'll encounter a camp of beggars. Search the sacks there to locate a flea-infested blanket.
With the flea-infested blanket in hand, return to the competing bathhouse. Sneak into the room where you previously added the Chamomile Brew and discreetly pour the fleas into Councillor Naaz’s laundry basket and the clean laundry basket when no one is watching.
If you struggle to find the flea-infested item, remember that completing just one of the three tasks is sufficient to make the councillor leave, allowing you to complete the quest and proceed to others like “Axe from the Lake.”
