Netflix has thrilling news for fans of the detective genre: Enola Holmes 3 is officially in production. The beloved cast, including Millie Bobby Brown reprising her role as the titular detective and Henry Cavill returning as her iconic older brother Sherlock Holmes, is set to bring more mystery and adventure to the screen. The film is currently being shot in Malta, where Enola will tackle a new mystery amidst the island's scenic backdrop. While there's no release date announced yet, anticipation is already building.

In an official statement, Netflix shared:

Even on holiday, mystery follows Enola Holmes, and you’re invited along for the ride. That’s right: Millie Bobby Brown is back as Sherlock Holmes’ equally brilliant younger sister in Enola Holmes 3, now in production in the UK.

The latest installment in the adventures of the young detective sees her tackling another mystery, this time on the island nation of Malta. You’ll have to wait and see what brings her there — but once she’s arrived, Enola is flung into a nest of vipers. As the private detective juggles a new case and the next stages of her relationship with Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge), the game is truly afoot.

Directed by Philip Barantini, known for his gripping one-take crime drama Adolescence, Enola Holmes 3 promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. The script, penned by Jack Thorne, who also wrote the previous Enola Holmes films, is based on Nancy Springer's The Enola Holmes Mysteries.
