Kabam is rolling out significant updates for Marvel Contest of Champions, introducing the Dark Phoenix Saga, new Champions, and a groundbreaking character type called Eidols. This month also shines a spotlight on the powerful women of the superhero fighter, giving you the chance to shape an upcoming Champion rework.
Jean Grey and Bastion are the newest additions to The Contest, each bringing unique abilities and a thrilling new storyline. You can recruit Jean Grey to your team starting March 13th, and Bastion will join the fray on the 27th. Before their arrival, the Dark Phoenix Saga will kick off on March 3rd, featuring Jean Grey and the X-Men battling against perilous variants in a fresh quest.
The lore of Marvel Contest of Champions continues to grow with the introduction of more Eidols, advancing the Founders storyline. Following the debut of Isophyne in December 2024, three additional Eidols are set to be introduced throughout 2025, each with a unique sourcing system. The next Eidol, Lumatrix, will make its entrance on March 5th and be available until June 4th.
Lumatrix, crafted by The Founders, is designed as a master infiltrator with skills in spying, sabotage, and assassination, all executed with unmatched precision. Made from ISO-8 crystals, Lumatrix has the power to manipulate light in extraordinary ways. While it may dazzle with its performance, it's a formidable weapon, capable of eliminating threats while remaining concealed.
This March, celebrate the powerful women of The Contest. Kabam has teamed up with seven female developers and content creators, each representing a different Champion. You have the power to decide which Champion will be revamped in 2025 by completing Solo Objectives and participating in Realm Events.
