Now You See Me 3 Officially Titled Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, Now You See Me 4 Confirmed
Big news for fans of the Now You See Me franchise: Lionsgate has officially announced that the third installment will be titled Now You See Me: Now You Don’t and is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025. Even more exciting is the revelation that a fourth film is already in the works.
The announcement came directly from Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, during a presentation at CinemaCon. Director Ruben Fleischer, known for his work on Zombieland, Uncharted, and Venom, has signed on to develop and direct both the third and fourth entries in this successful action-heist series, which has collectively grossed $700 million worldwide.
The original cast, including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman, will be joined by new talents Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt, who will portray a new generation of illusionists. Rosamund Pike is also set to star in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, marking her debut in the franchise.
Fleischer, who previously worked with Eisenberg and Harrelson on Zombieland, expressed his enthusiasm for the project: "Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course, I want to keep it going."
Bobby Cohen, the original developer and producer of the series, will return to produce the new films alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout. Meredith Wieck will oversee the project for Lionsgate.
Adam Fogelson praised Fleischer's work on the third film, saying, "Ruben has delivered all of the twists and turns and sleight-of-hand that audiences expect from this franchise while upping the stakes and scale in every way. We can’t wait for audiences to discover what he’s done with the third film and are thrilled he’ll be making even more magic with us."
Despite the franchise's commercial success, critical reception has been mixed. IGN's review of the first Now You See Me gave it a 6.3/10, criticizing the film for squandering its promising premise and cast on shallow characters and a nonsensical plot. The sequel, Now You See Me 2, received a slightly lower score of 6.2/10 from IGN, with the review noting that the film was "all flash and no substance."
With the announcement of Now You See Me: Now You Don’t and the upcoming fourth film, fans of the series have much to look forward to as they anticipate more thrilling heists and magical illusions on the big screen.
