Russian Checkers 8×8 Rules

In Russian checkers, white initiates the game, and all pieces move on dark squares. Capturing is mandatory and can be done both forward and backward. Kings have the freedom to move and capture along any diagonal. The Turkish strike rule limits capturing to one piece per move. If multiple captures are possible, you can choose any. A piece reaching the opponent's edge becomes a king and can immediately act as one if the opportunity arises.

A draw is declared under specific conditions, such as when a player with multiple pieces and kings cannot capture an opponent's lone king within a set number of moves, or if the game reaches a stalemate with repeated positions or moves.

International Checkers 10×10 Rules

Similar to Russian checkers, International checkers start with white, and pieces move on dark squares with mandatory capturing in both directions. Kings have full diagonal movement and capture. The Turkish strike rule applies, but the majority rule dictates that you must capture the maximum number of pieces if multiple captures are possible. A piece reaching the opponent's edge during a capture continues as a regular piece, but if it reaches the edge by a regular move, it becomes a king and stops, playing as a king on its next turn.
