How to play Çanak Okey.

Offline Okey is typically played with 4 players. In Çanak Okey, each player has a cue to help organize their tiles.

Tiles come in four colors: Red, Black, Yellow, and Blue.

Çanak Okey tiles are numbered from 1 to 13.

There are also two false Okey tiles included.

In total, the game uses 106 tiles.

At the start, all tiles are shuffled and automatically distributed. The player next to the dealer receives 15 tiles; the others get 14.

Players arrange their tiles using the cue, grouping them into valid sequences or sets.

Undealt tiles are placed face-down in the center as the pool.

The revealed tile from the pool serves as the indicator tile.

The matching tile in color and number to the indicator becomes the Okey tile.

In Çanak Okey, the Okey tile can substitute for any other tile.

Finishing with the Okey tile (throwing Okey) doubles your points earned.

Normal tile arrangement in Çanak Okey:

Organize tiles into groups of at least three. Two types of valid groups are allowed.

The first is sequences of tiles in the same color.

The second is sets of the same number across different colors.

Pairs lineup in Çanak Okey:

Arrange all tiles into pairs. With seven valid pairs and one tile left, discard the final tile to win the round.

Indicator rule in Çanak Okey:

At the start of your turn, if you hold the indicator tile and it matches the Okey color, reveal it. If not, other players lose 2 points.

Finishing the game in Çanak Okey:

A normal finish (without Okey) results in opponents losing 2 points. If you finish with a colored Okey, they lose 4 points.

Finishing with seven pairs deducts 4 points from all opponents.

Finishing with all tiles the same color and in sequence from 1 to 13 results in a “color finish” – opponents’ scores drop to zero, ending the game.

If all tiles are the same color but not in sequence, opponents lose 8 points.
