While the fight's mechanics are straightforward, Gyalva's ability to inflict significant damage quickly cannot be underestimated. The battle takes place on a bridge, where Gyalva flies and disrupts the structure with its fiery assaults.
To prepare for this encounter, it's advisable to upgrade Adol's abilities and gear. Aim to reach Level 21, which should be achievable by defeating all encountered enemies along the way.
Spinning Attacks
Gyalva unleashes two types of spinning attacks. The first causes sections of the bridge to spin into the air as it passes over them. The second involves Gyalva flying over the entire bridge in a straight line, flipping the plates as it goes. Both attacks can be lethal to underleveled players.
To evade the first attack, quickly move to the unaffected side of the bridge. For the second, the safest spots are the ledges at either end of the bridge. It's crucial to stay near one of these edges to safely dodge the attack, but avoid being cornered at the very end. Instead, use the bridge's length to strike Gyalva and then retreat to the nearest ledge.
Fire Blast
Gyalva launches a fireball onto the bridge, propelling the plates upward. This not only inflicts damage if you're hit but also creates an opportunity to land multiple hits on Gyalva.
Bursting Torches
Periodically, the torches along the bridge ignite, sending flames bursting across the area as fireballs leap from one torch to another. These bursts are unpredictable, but once they subside, it's safe to move through the affected zones.
