Top Jedi Survivors of Order 66 Ranked
This month marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, the concluding chapter in the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Released on May 19, 2005, it was the last Star Wars film directed by George Lucas before he sold Lucasfilm to Disney in 2012.
Fans eagerly anticipated Revenge of the Sith as it promised the pivotal transformation of Anakin Skywalker into Darth Vader. A significant plot point was the fate of the Jedi during Order 66, a sinister directive from Palpatine that turned the Clone Troopers against their Jedi allies. With thousands of Jedi serving at the time, it was inevitable that some would evade this deadly purge, beyond just the few known survivors from the Original Trilogy.
In the years following the film, numerous Order 66 survivors have been introduced in the Star Wars canon. We've curated a list of the top 10 Jedi survivors who left a significant mark. Some survived only briefly, while others endured much longer, with some fates still shrouded in mystery. All these Jedi lived to see another day after Palpatine's chilling command to "Execute Order 66."
For this list, we've set clear criteria: the characters must have been part of the Jedi Order before Order 66, regardless of their rank—whether Padawan, Jedi Knight, Jedi Master, or young Jedi Initiate. Therefore, we exclude Force-users like Maul and Palpatine, as well as those who never officially joined the Jedi Order, such as Jod Na Nawood.
A notable mention is Asajj Ventress, who trained under Jedi Ky Narec on Rattatak for over 20 years. Despite this, she never visited Coruscant or met the Jedi Council, and later turned to the Dark Side under Dooku. This makes her status within the Jedi Order ambiguous, earning her an honorable mention.
