If you've been yearning for a return to Tony Hawk's Underground, you're in good company — Tony Hawk himself is actively "campaigning" for a remake.

"I always have aspirations," Hawk shared with ScreenRant. "It's not up to me generally. I'll campaign all I can, but I'm working with a much larger company that's a lot smarter than me."

When quizzed on whether Activision had hinted at future projects after the release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, Hawk played his cards close to the vest, saying, "We haven't even released this game [yet]!"

Originally launched in 2003, Tony Hawk's Underground earned a stellar 9.2 review score from us, praised for its "virtually flawless" level design and "stellar gameplay." It was groundbreaking for allowing players to explore the expansive levels on foot for the first time in the series.

PlayTony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 is slated to hit Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One on July 11, 2025. Activision is curating the official THPS 3 + 4 playlist on Spotify, which will be updated as more songs are revealed — check out our comprehensive soundtrack list here.

"In an era where nearly every early 2000s game is receiving a modern update, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 is poised to be a standout addition to a year packed with impressive remakes and remasters," we noted in IGN's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 first impressions preview.

"From its faithful recreation of what made the PS2-era classics so memorable, to its modern quality of life improvements, excellent soundtrack, and overall tribute to the series' early days, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 is a must-watch for fans of skateboarding, action sports games, or anyone seeking a game that's straightforward and fun. It might just be the easiest kickflip you’ll pull off this year."
