Teardown Adds Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC
Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their popular sandbox game, Teardown. The developers have announced the introduction of a multiplayer mode, fulfilling a long-standing goal and responding to fan requests. This new feature will initially be available on Steam's Experimental Branch, allowing players early access to test and provide feedback on the mode.
Alongside the multiplayer announcement, Tuxedo Labs revealed the upcoming Folkrace DLC, set to enrich the single-player experience. This expansion will introduce new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges, enabling players to compete in various events, earn rewards, and customize their vehicles for superior performance on the tracks.
The multiplayer update will not only be available for early testing but will also include updates to the game's API. These updates are particularly aimed at the modding community, allowing modders to adapt their creations for use in multiplayer environments. Tuxedo Labs is eager to receive feedback from players and modders alike to refine this new feature.
Once the testing phase concludes, multiplayer will become a permanent fixture of Teardown, enhancing the game's core experience. Looking further ahead, the developers have teased that two additional major DLCs are in development, with more information to be released later in 2025.
This series of updates and expansions demonstrates Tuxedo Labs' commitment to evolving Teardown and keeping the community engaged with fresh content and new ways to play.
