GSC Gameworld has outlined specific updates, focusing on two major areas: the Beta Mod SDK Kit and further enhancements to the A-Life system. They plan to conduct a closed beta with mod makers to test the ModKit before its public release. Moreover, they intend to integrate Mod.io and Steam Workshop to facilitate modding.

The A-Life System will see continuous improvements aimed at enhancing the game’s NPC AI and simulation. Following a massive 110 GB update for STALKER 2’s Christmas patch last year, the developers are now focusing on "persistent A-Life improvements" and "smarter human combat; better cover/flanking use, limited grenades."

Mutants in the game will also receive updates, enabling them to eat corpses and react more realistically to threats. Other planned features include the addition of mutant loot, the ability to skip shader compilation, an expanded player stash window, support for wide screen aspect ratios, two new weapons (details yet to be specified), and continued efforts in stabilization and optimization.

Additionally, a next-gen update for the STALKER original trilogy is on the horizon. More details will be shared as these updates approach their release dates.
