Before you dream of swiftly traversing the world of Rune Slayer, ensure you have the following prerequisites:

• Reach level 20: Achieving this level shouldn't take more than a few hours, around 5-6, or even quicker with friends. Focus on completing Quests, Jobs, and defeating mobs to level up efficiently.
• Tame a Pet: A quest will guide you through the taming process, but here's a quick rundown:
  • Locate an animal you wish to tame (such as Deer, Wolf, Spider, etc.).
  • Attack it once to get its attention.
  • Equip and hold a food item that the animal favors (Deers enjoy Apples, while Wolves prefer Raw Deer Meat).
  • Watch for a Heart to appear above their heads, indicating your taming attempt.
  • If the Heart fills completely, the animal will collapse and become your pet.
  • If the Heart turns black, the taming has failed, but don't fret—try another animal.

Once you've reached level 20 and have a tamed pet, you're ready to proceed.

Finish the Mount Quest

Upon reaching level 20, Jimmy the Stable Master in Wayshire will offer you a quest named "Jimmy's Delivery". Accept the quest and head north through Wayshire's northern entrance. Follow the road, climb the hill into Greatwood Forest, and continue north without straying too far, as the mobs can be challenging. Eventually, you'll arrive at Ashenshire, marked by large houses perched atop towering trees.

Find and interact with the rope to climb up to Ashenshire. Upon reaching the top, the first NPC you'll encounter is Madonna the Stable Master. Approach her and select "I have a package for you." She will accept the package. Then, backtrack south to return to Wayshire.

Upon your return, speak to Jimmy the Stable Master again (marked by an exclamation point), and he will reward you with a Saddle. Note that the Saddle won't appear in your inventory to prevent accidental loss or sale.

How to mount your pet in Rune Slayer

After obtaining the Saddle, summon your pet by holding "T". Approach your summoned pet and select the "Mount" option by pressing "E". This will allow you to ride your pet, and yes, this method applies to all mountable pets in the game.
