A few thousand players will be able to test new Battlefield features
EA has unveiled a groundbreaking tool named Battlefield Labs, which serves as an internal closed beta for upcoming games in the iconic series. This initiative gives fans an exciting glimpse into the future with a brief showcase of gameplay from the current pre-alpha version.
Participants in Battlefield Labs will have the unique opportunity to test core mechanics and innovative concepts. However, not every feature tested will necessarily make it into the final product. Those selected to join must agree to a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before they can dive into the various gameplay elements. The initial testing will include popular modes like Conquest and Breakthrough, with a focus on combat dynamics and the game's signature destruction system. Subsequent phases will shift to fine-tuning balance and other critical aspects.
Pre-registration for Battlefield Labs is now open for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series players. In the coming weeks, EA plans to extend invitations to a select group of a few thousand players. The program is set to expand to additional regions over time, broadening the testing pool.
