Monster Hunter Wilds Update 1.011 Detailed

Author : Adam Update : Nov 01,2025

Monster Hunter Wilds director Yuya Tokuda has unveiled the details of the upcoming May 28 Ver. 1.011 update, featuring exciting new content along with a special Street Fighter 6 collaboration event.

Akuma Joins the Hunt

In his latest Director's Letter, Tokuda shared the team's goal to "deliver fresh content while refining gameplay for an enhanced Monster Hunter Wilds experience." The highlight is the arrival of Street Fighter's legendary warrior Akuma as a challenger. Players can obtain Akuma’s full armor set and layered armor. Equipping these unlocks three unique combat techniques—Assisted Combo Akuma, Drive Impact, and Gou Hadoken—which are detailed on the official Monster Hunter website.

New Eight-Star Monster Hunts

Version 1.011 introduces five formidable eight-star monsters—Gore Magala, Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra, and Jin Dahaad—unlockable at Hunter Rank (HR) 41 and above. These challenging foes replace Arkveld as the primary eight-star tempered threats, though Arkveld will remain at seven-star difficulty. The upgraded versions boast enhanced resilience, higher HP, improved wound resistance, and adjusted multiplayer scaling. Tokuda specifically warns that Tempered Gore Magala "will push even seasoned hunters to their limits." Additionally, high-difficulty and multi-monster hunts will become more frequent as HR increases.

Weapon Balancing & Quality-of-Life Improvements

The update brings significant weapon adjustments, refining combat mechanics for the Hammer, Hunting Horn, Gunlance, Bowguns, and Dual Blades. Gunlance Artian weapons receive notable buffs, while all weapon types see expanded combat possibilities—some tweaked down, others enhanced for better balance. "Each weapon now offers greater versatility—give them a try!" Tokuda encouraged.

Quality-of-life upgrades include resting mechanics in Grand Hub and Suja (restoring Pop-up Camps), automatic item storage when the pouch is full, and clearer meal-effect timers (showing 10-minute warnings). Notification overload is also reduced, displaying only high-priority targets while preventing map obstruction.

Endemic Life & Reward Enhancements

Players can now track captured endemic life in the Windward Plains via the Ecological Research menu, displaying species names and fish dimensions. Favorited creatures remain protected even if storage limits are exceeded. The update also boosts eight-star investigation rewards and rebalances Guild Points for fishing.

Stability fixes, particularly for Steam, further polish the experience.
