Monster Hunter Now Tests New Monster Outbreaks Feature

Exciting developments are brewing in the world of Monster Hunter Now with Niantic's new feature test called Monster Outbreaks. This testing phase is designed to gather player feedback and refine the feature before its official release. If you're eager to participate, here's everything you need to know about the Monster Outbreaks testing.

When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?

The Monster Outbreaks testing in Monster Hunter Now is scheduled to take place from April 26th to April 27th. The event will occur twice daily on both days, from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., based on local time. This gives you multiple opportunities to engage with the new feature over the weekend.

During these specific time slots, designated outbreak points on the map will see an influx of 8-star Black Diablos. The objective is to collaborate with other players to hunt down a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak location within the one-hour window. Note that this is a local goal for each outbreak point, not a global tally.

To participate, you must have reached at least HR 11. Additionally, the test does not allow the use of the party feature; only in-person group hunts are valid. Outbreak points are clearly marked on the map with a special icon, and you can tap on them to view more details. Niantic has also introduced a sign-up roster at each location, allowing you to coordinate with other hunters on when you plan to join the fray.

Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!

The mechanics of the Monster Outbreaks are quite intriguing. If you hunt with a group of three other players and successfully take down a Black Diablos, that counts as four towards the 100 needed to meet the goal. Should your group reach the 100-mark before the time runs out, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour, as they will be the only monsters spawning during these outbreaks.

Achieving the 100-monster target comes with rewards. Your group will earn 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Moreover, by using the sign-up roster, participants can also receive a special Outbreak Test I Medal.

If this sounds like your kind of challenge, you can download Monster Hunter Now from the Google Play Store and join the Monster Outbreaks testing over the weekend. Get ready to team up, hunt down those Black Diablos, and reap the rewards of your efforts!
