"Infinity Nikki Fans Threaten Uninstall Over Controversial Update 1.5 Changes"
Infinity Nikki and its highly anticipated multiplayer-focused 1.5 update have finally arrived on Steam, but the release has been overshadowed by a series of controversies and technical issues. Infold Games’ stylish dress-up adventure, which transitioned from Epic Game Store exclusivity to Valve’s digital platform, was supposed to be a cause for celebration among fans. However, the launch has been anything but smooth, with a range of problems from technical glitches to controversial design choices and demanding new outfit requirements. In response, Infold has issued an apology and promised compensation, yet the struggle for Infinity Nikki is far from resolved.

PC players eagerly awaiting the Steam release of Infinity Nikki were met with disappointment as the game suffered from crashes and instability, making it difficult to even launch. While launch-day issues are not uncommon, the influx of players quickly highlighted more than just performance problems.
The introduction of two new five-star outfits, Snowbound Ballad and Undying Ember, each comprising 11 pieces, has sparked outrage. This means players might need up to 220 pulls – and significant real-world money – to complete these sets. This unexpected increase in piece count has alarmed the community, fearing that future outfits might demand even more effort and resources.
Adding to the confusion, Infold extended the Crown of Miraland: Peak Arena event from two to three weeks, a change that left many players bewildered. Amidst these technical issues and perceived monetization strategies, the Chinese player base of Infinity Nikki took to the social platform RedNote to voice their concerns, leading to a widespread movement. Now, the global community is rallying to boycott Infinity Nikki on Steam, urging others to leave negative reviews and uninstall the game across all platforms.
Reddit user kiaxxl emphasized the importance of withholding pulls to send a message to the game's developers, stating in a call-to-action post, "What I am reminding people of is a decent amount of Chinese IN stylists pledging to not spend/pull on the banners to send a message to the digital income trackers for the game. For gacha games, tracking how successful a new batch of content is usually measured on the first few days. Holding back your pulls for a couple of days can help show we want IN to remain fun and fair for all players."
The backlash has had a tangible impact, with Infinity Nikki currently holding a "Mixed" rating on Steam due to numerous negative reviews warning potential players to steer clear until issues are resolved.
The growing boycott prompted Infold to release an apology letter across its official channels, acknowledging the technical problems and promising improved communication about future changes. The letter reads, "Thank you again for your support. We know we still have shortcomings, but it’s because of your companionship that Nikki can keep pushing the boundaries of imagination. Please give us another chance to let Nikki’s starlight continue shining for all of us, ensuring our sincerity never fades."
Apology Letter Regarding Version 1.5 Gaming Experience
Dear Stylists,
Hope this message finds you well.
First and foremost, we would like to extend our sincerest apologies. We are truly sorry that we were unable to provide you with a stable experience upon the release of the new… pic.twitter.com/YEjpGQpKho— Infinity Nikki (@InfinityNikkiEN) April 29, 2025
In an attempt to make amends, Infold announced that the Mira Crown event would conclude on May 16 and the next season would start the same day. Players will also receive compensation in the form of 10 Revelation Crystals, 10 Resonance Crystals, and 1200 Diamonds. While these steps are seen as progress, they fall short of the comprehensive changes many in the community were hoping for.
While some players view Infold's concessions as a victory, others remain skeptical about the decision to maintain the 11-piece requirement for new outfits. Despite promises of better communication, concerns linger that future five-star outfits will continue to demand this high level of commitment.
I wish you would finally chance the drop rate.. it cant be that i need 200 pulls to get a 5star and then you drop like 5 banners within weeks?! Make the rate lower or give us more diamonds to be able to get crystals.. this is not fun!

Despite the partial success of their efforts, the community remains vigilant. Reddit user EdensAsmr warned, "Think about it: CN players are pointing out that if we accept the 11-piece outfits and pity as it is, most new 5 stars will **be** 11 pieces. Imagine if every new major update has two 11-piece 5-star banners? That means you have to save even more to be able to handle it, and 70-80 pulls per patch will **not** cut it."
