In a recent Twitter (X) update, Supergiant Games announced that Hades 2 has been in early access since May 6, 2024. Marking this milestone, the developer expressed gratitude to the community for their support and shared their progress towards the game's full release.

Their post stated, "It's been incredibly exciting and eye-opening as we've worked to realize the potential so many of you see in our game. Thank you for all your feedback and patience as we get closer to the finish line!"

Hades, the original game, also followed a similar early access route, taking 22 months to reach its full release. However, Supergiant Games aims to bring Hades 2 to full release more quickly, starting with a time-exclusive launch on the Nintendo Switch 2.
