If you've forgotten the hint provided by Samin, your journey to find the Rime Beetle will lead you to the Iceshard Cliffs region. However, this isn't as simple as setting a waypoint on your map and letting your Seikret guide you directly to the spot. Instead, you'll need to rely on your observation skills and a bit of luck to spot the Rime Beetle in the wild.

Fortunately, once you know where to look, it becomes easier. The Rime Beetle is known for rolling up balls of packed snow, making them quite noticeable in snowy areas. To find them, head to the Iceshard Cliffs and focus your search in Areas 2, 7, 8, 11, and 13. As you explore these snow-covered zones, keep an eye out for the distinctive snowballs. If you see tracks in the snow, follow them—they could lead you right to a Rime Beetle.

Capturing the Rime Beetle requires a different approach than simply collecting it. You'll need to use your Capture Net, which should already be part of your equipment. To equip the Capture Net, hold L1/LB and scroll through your options until you see it, then press Square/X to select it. Aim with L2/LT, and once the Rime Beetle is within your crosshairs and the target turns orange, fire to capture it. Successfully capturing the Rime Beetle will add it to your collection and fulfill Samin's request.

If you choose to gather the Rime Beetle manually, you'll obtain Frost Pods, which can be used to inflict ice damage on targets within *Monster Hunter Wilds*.
