God of War Ragnarok Marks 20th Anniversary with Dark Odyssey Update Next Week

Sony and the acclaimed game developer Santa Monica Studio have unveiled the Dark Odyssey collection, an exciting update for God of War Ragnarök set to launch next week. This update introduces a suite of in-game equipment inspired by one of the franchise's most iconic outfits, available to all players across PlayStation 5 and PC.

In a detailed PlayStation.Blog post, Sony outlined the contents of the God of War 20th anniversary celebration, with the Dark Odyssey update taking center stage. Scheduled to roll out as a free update on March 20, this collection boasts a sleek black-and-gold aesthetic that promises to enhance the visual appeal of Kratos and his companions as they navigate the realms of Norse mythology.

The Dark Odyssey collection includes not only a striking appearance and armor set for Kratos, reminiscent of a legendary skin from God of War 2's God Mode difficulty, but also new cosmetic sets for Atreus and Freya. Additionally, players can look forward to customizing a variety of shields and weapons with the new black-and-gold theme.

The highlight of the update is undoubtedly the Dark Odyssey appearance and armor set for Kratos, which can be claimed from any Lost Items chest in the base game or immediately in the roguelike Valhalla mode post-update.
