God of War Ragnarok Dark Odyssey Collection Revealed

The God of War Ragnarök 06.02 update patch notes are now available, commemorating the franchise's 20th anniversary with details on the new Dark Odyssey Collection.

Santa Monica Studio has released the complete patch notes, outlining all the celebratory content. This includes the Dark Odyssey cosmetic sets for Kratos, Atreus, and Freya, along with a fresh visual overhaul for Kratos's divine weapons. This substantial content bundle is available now at no additional cost.

Beyond the Norse-themed items in this latest update, players can now access a new customization feature. The "Edit Appearance" option lets you select your favorite visual styles without affecting the stats and abilities of your equipped armor. Whether you're new to Kratos's epic battles with Thor and Odin or replaying the adventure, now is the perfect time to dive into the sequel on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, or PC.

While the Dark Odyssey Collection provides a wealth of new cosmetic gear that will please longtime fans, it may not be the full anniversary celebration some were hoping for from Santa Monica Studio.

Last week's update announcement prompted requests from fans for modern remasters of classics like God of War, God of War II, and God of War III. However, no such projects have been announced, and there is currently little indication they are in development.

Still, these new additions, combined with other planned bonuses like new merchandise and vinyl releases, show that Sony is committed to keeping the God of War community engaged.
