Freedom Wars Remastered features Abductors with visible health bars on their torsos. Players utilize various weapons and items to deplete this health. The game incorporates diverse damage types, each with unique mechanics. While Light Melee weapons often target specific body parts, Impact Damage plays a similar strategic role.
Mastering Impact Damage significantly enhances Abductor takedowns. This guide details Impact Damage functionality and its application for swift Abductor defeats.
Understanding Impact Damage in Freedom Wars Remastered
Impact Damage is primarily found on Heavy Melee and certain Ranged Weapons. While a numerical value accompanies the Impact Damage percentage, this doesn't directly increase overall damage. Instead, it's non-elemental damage boosting the force of standard attacks, accelerating the Abductor's stagger rate. A full stagger meter results in the Abductor staggering, providing a prime opportunity for substantial damage before recovery.
Unlike the visible health bar, the stagger meter is hidden; staggering can occur at any point once the rate surpasses a threshold. This presents both advantages and disadvantages. Offline play allows for charged attacks, maximizing damage output. However, online, staggering might hinder teammates' attacks. Some Abductors react uniquely to staggering—Ramosa, for instance, retreats—potentially complicating precise attacks.
Boosting Stagger Damage in Freedom Wars Remastered
Increasing Stagger Damage requires unlocking the Weapon Development Facility. This facility enables weapon crafting and customization. Utilize the Manufacture Modules feature to create modules using various resources. The Stagger Damage Up Module requires Glassy Carbon, a common field resource in Basic Operations. Synthesise Modules allows combining identical modules to enhance their effects. Attaching the crafted module to a weapon boosts its Impact Damage and stagger capability.
Since Impact Damage is non-elemental, prioritizing physical damage upgrades over elemental enhancements optimizes enemy staggering. Modules like Stagger Damage Up prove invaluable for users of heavy melee weapons or ranged weapons with high inherent stagger potential.
