Star Wars Celebration unveiled thrilling updates for the *The Mandalorian and Grogu*-themed expansion coming to *Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run*, set to launch alongside the new movie. This update will introduce new planets like Coruscant, alongside familiar locales such as Tatooine, Bespin, and Endor. A standout feature of this update is the enhanced role for Engineers, who will now have the unique responsibility of caring for Grogu throughout the adventure.

Scheduled for release on May 22, 2026, this update promises to diverge from the storyline of *The Mandalorian & Grogu* film but will still showcase Din Djarin and Grogu in fresh and exciting contexts. The narrative kicks off with Hondo Ohnaka uncovering a clandestine deal on Tatooine involving ex-Imperial officers and pirates, leading to a high-stakes pursuit across the galaxy. Guests will join forces with Mando and Grogu to pursue these fugitives and claim a bounty in a dynamic, galaxy-spanning adventure.

While complete details remain under wraps, it's clear that Engineers will play a pivotal role, especially in looking after Grogu. What could be more exciting than that?

To delve deeper into what fans can anticipate, we had the opportunity to speak with Asa Kalama from Walt Disney Imagineering. He provided insights into the interactive elements of the mission, saying, "Throughout the mission, we're going to be giving the engineers the opportunity to actually get to communicate with Grogu. So, we think it's going to be a ton of fun. There may be times when Mando has to deboard the Razor Crest and Grogu, left to his own devices, might get a little happy on the control panel. So, we love the idea of there being these fun little vignettes and moments where you're sort of on the comm with Grogu."

Regarding the choose-your-own-adventure aspect, Kalama explained, "There will be a critical moment in your adventure where you are strapped for time and have to make a lightning quick decision about which of our particular bounties we want to pursue. And that's going to be the sort of inciting incident that allows us to decide which are the different destinations we go to."
