Dune: Awakening Coming on May 20

No Early Access and No Monthly Subscription

Mark your calendars for May 20, as Dune: Awakening will launch in full release, bypassing the early access phase. In a detailed blog post on Steam dated March 21, Funcom outlined the game's business model, system requirements, and plans for post-launch support. Unlike its MMO counterparts such as Final Fantasy XIV, World of Warcraft, and EVE Online, Dune: Awakening will not require a monthly subscription. Instead, players can look forward to free updates that will bring new content, features, and enhancements to the game. Funcom's commitment to long-term support is bolstered by their experience with other live service games like Anarchy Online, set to celebrate its 25th anniversary next year, and Conan Exiles, which continues to receive regular updates and expansions.
