Crazy Games and Photon Kick Off 10-Day Global Web Multiplayer Jam 2025
CrazyGames is set to launch its Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 this week, running from April 25th to May 5th. This exciting 10-day developer event, in partnership with Photon, the world's leading multiplayer service provider, is calling all indie developers to participate in a global game development marathon focused on creating innovative web-based multiplayer games.
Participants will have the chance to compete for a share of €10,000 in cash prizes and premium Photon licenses. The prizes include:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (€7,500 value)
- 500 CCU for a year (€1,500 value)
- 100 CCU for a year (€100 value)
The only strict requirements for the event are that games must be developed and submitted during the jam period and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers are encouraged to let their creativity soar.
Since its launch in 2014, CrazyGames has become the go-to platform for free online gaming, leveraging HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGL technologies to deliver smooth browser-based gaming experiences for thousands of titles. In collaboration with Photon, CrazyGames will provide support throughout the event and offer winning games the opportunity to be published on their platform.
A pre-jam livestream is scheduled for April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn, where participants can gain insights into two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Photon Engine’s Head of Growth, expressed enthusiasm about the platforms, stating, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all experience levels. For more information and to register, visit the official jam page.
