Bandai Namco Remasters Tales of Xillia Next
Bandai Namco has dropped intriguing hints about another remaster in the Tales franchise, with strong indications pointing to Tales of Xillia being the next revival.

Social media sleuths noticed that Bandai Namco Europe briefly posted an unlisted version of this video days earlier, confirming Tales of Xillia as the remaster title. This accidental reveal suggests tomorrow's pre-dawn announcement will precede Gamescom's Opening Night Live by several hours.
Originally released in 2011 (Japan) and 2013 (globally), Tales of Xillia follows protagonists Jude and Milla as they race to neutralize a devastating superweapon. Our 8/10 review from its launch era makes it prime for modernization—especially since it's remained PlayStation 3-exclusive, becoming increasingly inaccessible. The game spawned a sequel, Tales of Xillia 2, similarly confined to PS3 hardware.
While exciting, some fans may express disappointment as this isn't their most anticipated series remaster. Bandai Namco's Remastered Program last year began with Tales of Graces f (following 2024's Symphonia remaster). During that reveal, producer Yuki Ishikawa acknowledged fan demands for Tales of the Abyss—considered a franchise standout—hinting at potential future efforts: "Creating that possibility to share such joy with fans would motivate my hardest work." Meanwhile, this writer continues patiently advocating for Zestiria's turn.
