Arcane skins are unlikely to return to Fortnite

Fortnite's cosmetic items are hugely popular, with players eager to sport the latest skins. Epic Games rotates a large selection of existing skins through the in-game store, leading to long waits for some favorites. While skins like Master Chief (after a two-year absence) and even the original Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper eventually reappeared, the future of Arcane's Jinx and Vi skins remains uncertain.

The return of Jinx and Vi is highly desired by Fortnite players, especially after the second season of Arcane. However, Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill recently cast doubt on their return during a livestream. While acknowledging the decision rests with Riot, he stated the collaboration was limited to the first season. Following online disappointment, Merrill offered to discuss the possibility internally, but offered no guarantees.

The chances of seeing Jinx and Vi again seem slim. While the potential revenue would benefit Riot, allowing their intellectual property to draw players away from League of Legends, currently facing challenges, is likely a concern. Any significant player migration from League of Legends to Fortnite due to these skins would be detrimental.

While future developments are possible, it's advisable to temper expectations regarding the return of these popular skins.
