Application Description
Learning to read Spanish is a crucial skill that lays the foundation for academic success and lifelong learning. It's particularly vital during the preschool and early elementary years, as it supports everything children will do in school and beyond. Given that today's kids are digital natives who naturally gravitate towards computers and tablets, leveraging technology can significantly enhance their reading journey.
Method
Our method, "Learn to Read Spanish with Phonics," is tailored for children aged 3 to 6 or 7, and it's also beneficial for adults looking to refine their pronunciation. The curriculum is structured into a section for tracing letters and 30 lessons, beginning with vowels and progressing to consonants and digraphs such as L, M, S, T, P, N, D, F, H, C, Q, CH, G, GUE, R, -rr-, B, V, J, GE, GUE, Y, Z, CE, LL, X, K. Each lesson features 11 engaging games, offered at two difficulty levels, making it an excellent resource for parents and educators to help children master their first syllables and words in Spanish. Encourage the child to listen and tackle the exercises; understanding every detail isn't necessary at this stage. Remember, mastering reading is a gradual process that may extend over a year. We suggest practicing for a few minutes daily and revisiting previously learned material, always adjusting the type and level of exercises to keep the experience playful and enjoyable.
Levels
Each game within our program offers two adjustable difficulty levels, allowing children to progress at their own pace. You can pause and resume games at any time. As children successfully complete games, they earn fruits as rewards. The first level is designed for three-year-olds, and with assistance, even younger children can participate. At this stage, games can be solved with the help of the instructions. The second level increases in complexity, encouraging children to solve problems independently while keeping the learning process fun. As parents or guardians, it's crucial to match the difficulty to the child's abilities and avoid pressuring them to rush through levels or advance prematurely.

Our method enhances several key skills:
- Visual and auditory memorization
- Identification and association
- Discrimination

Achievements
You can set up to three profiles (avatars) for different children, tracking each child's progress across levels, correct and incorrect answers, and a percentage of completion, represented funnily as fruits. These fruits serve as an engaging incentive for children to continue playing. Once collected, children can give these fruits to little aliens by clicking on the basket. For a detailed overview of progress, click on the reports button on the Tikis screen.
