Fans of the beloved animated classic are in for a treat — King of Hill is officially returning for a revival, with a premiere set for August 2024. The announcement, made by FX and 20th Television, confirmed that the long-anticipated reboot will bring back the familiar charm of suburban life in Arlen, Texas, with Hank Hill once again at the helm.
The revival will feature original creator Mike Judge returning as showrunner and executive producer, ensuring the series stays true to its roots. The core voice cast — including Mike Judge as Hank, Johnny Galecki as Bobby, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Peggy, and Clint Howard as Boomhauer** — are all returning, with some new additions to the ensemble.
The first look at the revival debuted during FX’s upfront presentation, showcasing Hank’s signature deadpan humor, his dedication to propane, and his ongoing battle against the weirdness of the world around him. The teaser also hints at a new arc involving Hank’s evolving relationship with modern technology and his increasingly complex family dynamics.

The revival will consist of 10 episodes, marking a return to the show’s original half-hour sitcom format. It will air on FX and stream on Hulu, with a simultaneous global rollout.
