Rumors suggest that Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 are slated for release on PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025. This follows Microsoft's February 2024 initiative to broaden the availability of its first-party titles across multiple platforms. Games like Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, and Sea of Thieves have already made the transition, along with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (October 2024) and the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (Spring 2025).

Industry insider NateTheHate claims to have heard about the planned ports of Halo: The Master Chief Collection to both PS5 and Switch 2, targeting a 2025 launch. He also predicts a similar multi-platform release for Microsoft Flight Simulator, likely referring to the recently released MFS 2024.

This aligns with comments from another insider, Jez Corden, who anticipates significantly more Xbox games coming to PS5 and Switch 2 in 2025, suggesting the end of the era of exclusive Xbox titles. The ten-year agreement to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo consoles, announced in late 2022, further supports this trend, with releases likely pending the launch of the more powerful Switch 2.
