Splitgate 2 Open Alpha Playtest Details

Revealed during Sony's February 2025 State of Play event, the Splitgate 2 Open Alpha Playtest was available from February 27th to March 3rd, 2025. This marked a significant expansion from last year's PC-exclusive Closed Alpha, as it was accessible on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Participation was open to all players, with no registration required. The test version introduced fresh maps, weaponry, game modes, and even an innovative 8v8v8 multiplayer battle format, as detailed in the official announcement.

The Closed Alpha for Splitgate 2 wrapped up on August 25, 2024, following its August 21st launch.
