Slothwerks, the indie studio behind the beloved Meteorfall series, is back with a fresh twist. Their latest creation, Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble, has just opened pre-registration on Android. As the third installment following Meteorfall (2017) and Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale (2019), this card battler is slated for release next month.

What’s the Setting?

This roguelike deckbuilder throws traditional rules out the window. Matches are lightning-fast, and success hinges on bending the rules rather than adhering to them. You’ll be strategically placing cards to win over a bloodthirsty crowd while leading a squad of three heroes chosen from a pool of eight, each with their own unique deck.

With over 200 cards at your disposal, you can customize them mid-run with layered upgrades. Wild Cards enable you to break conventional combat norms, allowing you to pull off impressive feats during battles for valuable buffs.

Between skirmishes, you’ll explore Bramble Town, a hub brimming with choices. Do you focus on upgrading your deck, training your heroes, or simply wandering through its quirky landscape to uncover hidden secrets?

Originally announced as Bramble Royale, the game faced confusion due to its name being mistaken for a battle royale. To avoid any mix-ups, the developers recently rebranded it to Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble. This decision cleverly ties it back to the original series, ensuring fans recognize it as part of the same eccentric universe.
