Ubisoft Unveils Rainbow Six Siege X: A Major Overhaul, Not a Sequel

A tradition amongst popular esports game developers is making significant announcements just before the world championship grand finals. Ubisoft, in keeping with this trend, and with Rainbow Six Siege entering its tenth year, has delivered a substantial reveal: Siege X.

This isn't simply a new update; Ubisoft describes Siege X as a major upgrade to Rainbow Six Siege, drawing parallels to the Counter-Strike 2 update to Global Offensive. Players can anticipate a transformative experience that feels like a new game while retaining all previous progress and data.

A dedicated three-hour presentation, complete with a live audience in Atlanta, is scheduled for March 13th to showcase Siege X in detail. To commemorate Rainbow Six Siege's decade-long run, Ubisoft has also launched a commemorative pack offering players a chance to unlock legendary skins from the game's earliest seasons – a comprehensive collection of classic cosmetics.
