Boutique PC Retailers with Built-to-Order RTX 50XX Systems

Some boutique retailers now offer RTX 5090 and 5080 GPUs as configurable options in their systems. Retailers like iBuyPower, Origin PC, Maingear, Starforge Systems, NZXT, and Digital Storm have introduced new RTX 50-series configurations. However, be aware that these custom builds can be pricey and might not offer the best value for money.

Dell (Alienware), HP, and Lenovo Prebuilt PCs Coming Later

The major OEMs, Dell (Alienware), HP, and Lenovo, will introduce their RTX 50-series prebuilt gaming PCs later in the year. Dell showcased the Alienware Area 51 at CES 2025, expected to launch in Q1. HP plans to integrate the RTX 5090 and 5080 into their Omen 45L, likely in mid to late February. Lenovo has yet to announce when it will include the new GPUs in its Legion Tower series.

The Nvidia 50-series GPUs were unveiled at CES 2025, focusing heavily on enhanced AI capabilities. DLSS 4 technology claims to quadruple frame rates with minimal visual compromise. While offering a modest performance boost, opinions on their value compared to the RTX 40-series vary.

In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 FE review, Jackie Thomas noted, "The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 has claimed the performance crown from the RTX 4090, albeit with a smaller generational leap. Non-AI gaming performance sees a minor uplift, but DLSS 4 delivers substantial gains in supported games, though 75% of frames are AI-generated."

In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie shared a similar view, "For those with recent high-end graphics cards, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be compelling due to its minimal performance advantage over the RTX 4080. However, DLSS 4's Multi-Frame Generation improves visuals in supported titles. Gamers with older cards looking for a significant upgrade will find the RTX 5080 worthwhile, especially if they embrace Nvidia's AI enhancements."
