Author : Emery Update : Aug 13,2026

Pokémon TCG Pocket will soon feature the exciting addition of Mega Evolutions.
These enhanced forms of beloved Pokémon first appeared in Pokémon X and Y.
They are set to debut in TCG Pocket this autumn, complete with stunning immersive artwork.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is about to level up its trading card game excitement. You could even say things are about to get 'mega' with the arrival of the highly requested Mega Evolutions. Launching this fall, Mega Evolutions will add a fresh layer of strategy to the popular adaptation of the classic card collection game.

For those unfamiliar, Mega Evolutions were first introduced as a game mechanic in Pokémon X and Y. Despite the name, they don't evolve a Pokémon into a new species, but rather into a super-powered version of itself. With improved stats and unique abilities, these Mega Pokémon are significantly stronger than their regular counterparts.

The reveal trailer showcases several Mega Evolutions, including Mega Gyarados, Mega Altaria, and the debut of Blaziken alongside its Mega form. Each one features eye-catching card designs and immersive artwork, appealing to both competitive battlers and dedicated collectors.

Mega!

The arrival of Mega Evolutions is poised to be a true game-changer for battles in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Not only do they offer a way to further upgrade your favorite Pokémon into new forms, but they also bring stylish new looks to fill your virtual card binder with.

This move also demonstrates that, despite a somewhat uncertain 2025, the TCG Pocket team remains committed to bringing popular game mechanics to this premier version of the hit card game. The only question that remains is which Pokémon you'll choose for a Mega Evolution when they are released.
