How Many Plants Can the Greenhouse Hold in Stardew Valley?
Maximize Your Stardew Valley Greenhouse: A Guide to Plant Capacity
The Greenhouse in Stardew Valley is a game-changer, offering year-round crop production and a significant boost to your farm's profitability. Unlock it by completing the Community Center bundles (or the Joja Community Development Form) to overcome seasonal limitations.
This invaluable building allows you to cultivate any plant, regardless of the season, including lucrative fruit trees. The Greenhouse's interior offers 120 planting spaces (10 rows x 12 columns), plus space around the perimeter for 18 fruit trees. However, the optimal number of plants depends on your sprinkler strategy.
Optimizing Plant Capacity with Sprinklers
Sprinklers are a significant time-saver, freeing you to focus on other aspects of your farm. The number of sprinklers needed varies based on type and placement:
- Quality Sprinklers: Sixteen are required, occupying twelve inner tiles.
- Iridium Sprinklers: Six are needed, using four inner tiles.
- Iridium Sprinklers (with Pressure Nozzles): Four cover the entire area, using only two tiles. Alternatively, five can be used, occupying a single tile. (Note: Sprinklers can be placed on the wooden border as well.)
Strategic sprinkler placement maximizes your planting space, allowing you to fully utilize the Greenhouse's potential. With careful planning, you can consistently harvest 120 crops annually, dramatically increasing your farm's income.
