Owlcat Games Expands into Publishing, Focusing on Narrative-Driven Experiences

Owlcat Games, renowned for its acclaimed cRPGs like Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, has announced its foray into game publishing. This strategic move, following the acquisition of META Publishing in 2021, aims to support and amplify the development of narrative-focused games.

The publisher's initiative reflects Owlcat's commitment to enriching the gaming landscape with compelling stories. By leveraging its expertise in development and storytelling, Owlcat will provide resources and support to studios sharing its passion for immersive narrative experiences.

Owlcat's Publishing Portfolio: Two Exciting Titles in Development

Owlcat has already partnered with two promising studios:

• Emotion Spark Studio (Serbia): Developing Rue Valley, a narrative RPG centered around a protagonist trapped in a time loop within a mysterious town. The game will explore themes of mental health and personal growth.

• Another Angle Games (Poland): Creating Shadow of the Road, an isometric RPG set in an alternate feudal Japan, blending samurai culture, honor, and tactical turn-based combat with steampunk elements and magical yokai.

Both Rue Valley and Shadow of the Road are in early development, with further details expected soon. Owlcat plans to unveil more information about these games and their unique narratives in the coming weeks.
